CRATING SERVICES - Typically including fragile or high value items or pieces that are of an unusual design that will not load safely in the van without protection.

ADDITIONAL NEEDS - Maid service, rigging and hoisting, satellite dishes and more.

Why Use a Full Service Third Party Company?

A Qualified third party company can accomplish all of the above services in a single visit to the home. This reduces the scheduling nightmare incurred when the moving company tries to contract out to as many as four or five tradesmen! A moving company may have qualified in-house personnel but the demand for these people during peak season is great. Are these personnel equipped with proper tools and parts to complete the job professionally? Are they prepared for last minute add-ons?

CLAIMS EXPOSURE - The moving company can insulate themselves by using a third party service company. Below are only a few examples of how to reduce a moving companies claims:

PROBLEMS DURING WINTER with regard to frozen water reservoirs in the ice-maker system can cause expensive appliance repairs in addition to potential property damage. The same problem exists with washing machine pumps. Dripping faucets and ice maker water lines can spell disaster if left uncapped. Our crews cap all lines.

WATERBED MATTRESSES are becoming a major problem for everyone. High volume pumps must be utilized for draining waveless and baffle type mattresses.
POOL TABLES disassembly and assembly processes are very complicated. Damaged playing cloth, cracked slates and broken and missing parts result when inexperienced personnel handle them.

GRANDFATHER CLOCKS come in an infinite variety of styles and designs and often are the prized possession of a family. Our experienced people first identify the style, then employ the correct procedure to dismantle, secure and pack the clock for safe transit. If the customer senses that the person handling the clock is inexperienced, this can cause unnecessary anxiety and stress for your client. The assembly procedure is equally crucial. Qualified technicians are familiar with the intricacies of the movement. Leveling, setting the beat and time adjustments should not be left to inexperienced personnel. Upset shippers and added expense are usually the result of a failed clock set up. Items that require disassembly and reassembly are better left to third party companies with nationwide capabilities. Operation and condition reports are given at both origin and destination. This further limits the moving companies exposure to claims by letting the burden fall on us. Swing sets and expensive wall units these days are becoming increasingly difficult. Can the moving company afford to lose two key employees for a half or even a full day on one of these units? Add in the headache of missing or broken hardware, on large wooden swing sets, and you get the picture.

WOODEN CRATING - How many times have your packers returned to the warehouse with a crate that was too small or designed incorrectly to accommodate the item. The time, labor and material wasted in this situation can add up quickly. Let the third party company do the crating. Third party servicemen do crating on a daily basis and are adept at designing crates with the proper tolerances and packing techniques. On-site construction results in a crate with a perfect design.
